(ĐN)- Late last week, a delegation from Nike
Vietnam traveled to Binh Loi commune in Vinh Cuu district of Dong Nai province, to help build two houses for the poor as part of a charity program run by Nike Vietnam. These two houses are among ninety-eight houses in communes of Binh Loi, Binh Hoa, Thanh Phu and Tan Binh in Vinh Cuu district that Nike Vietnam is financing to build for poor households in the district with a total of US$ 25,000 in funding.
Amanda Tucker, Director of Nike Vietnam said that this program is part of a series of community-oriented activities of the Nike group that has helped build houses for the poor in the US, European countries and China. She also said Dong Nai province is the first locality in Vietnam to become the pilot program for the Nike group.
