With numerous expressways built in recent years, Dong Nai City’s strategic transport infrastructure network is gradually being completed to meet socio-economic development needs. Modern “mega” interchanges connecting expressways and national highways not only open new traffic routes but also demonstrate that a new-generation road network is gradually taking shape.

The Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway is an east–west trunk route that serves as a major transport corridor within the Southeast region. It links the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay and Ben Luc–Long Thanh expressways. Within this network, the Long Thanh interchange in Long Thanh Ward, Dong Nai City, connects the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway with the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway. A key transport hub in the south, it officially opened all ramps to traffic on June 6, 2026. Photo: Pham Tung

While the Long Thanh interchange is already operational, construction is continuing on the interchange connecting the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway with National Highway 51, also in Long Thanh Ward. Under the plan, this interchange will be completed and fully operational by late 2026. Photo: Pham Tung

The Long Thanh Airport interchange, on the section of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway running through Long Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai City, is a modern, multilevel “mega-interchange” connecting the expressway with the T1 and T2 access roads to Long Thanh Airport.

From the Long Thanh Airport interchange, vehicles can travel in both directions along the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway. Motorists can also take connecting road T2 to the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway to travel toward Ho Chi Minh City or Long Thanh Airport. They can take road T1 to reach National Highway 51 and Provincial Road 25C. Photo: Pham Tung

| The interchange between road T1 and National Highway 51 in Long Phuoc Commune plays a crucial role in connecting Long Thanh Airport with National Highway 51 and Provincial Road 25C. From there, vehicles can access key transport routes serving the airport, including National Highway 51, Provincial Roads 25B and 25C, the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway, and Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3. | Once operational, the interchange between road T1 and National Highway 51 will play a vital role in providing transport connections to Long Thanh Airport, helping ease traffic pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway. Photo: Pham Tung |

Along the same corridor as the Tan Hiep interchange is the interchange between the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway and National Highway 51 in Phuoc Thai Commune. It opened in conjunction with the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway in early October 2026. As the Tan Hiep interchange is not yet operational, vehicles traveling on the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway currently turn onto National Highway 51 at this interchange to continue their journeys.
