The Dong Nai Labor Federation (DNLF) has recently issued a plan for the “Reunion Tet Bus Trip - Spring 2027” program to help trade union (TU) members and disadvantaged employees return home to reunite with their families for the 2027 Lunar New Year (Tet), the Year of the Goat.

The program is expected to provide 3,000 one-way bus tickets for TU members and employees in Dong Nai to return to their hometowns in provinces and cities from Gia Lai northward for Tet. Routes will pass through Gia Lai, Da Nang, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and Hanoi. The buses are scheduled to depart on January 31, February 1, and February 2, 2027, corresponding to the 24th, 25th, and 26th days of the 12th lunar month.

Eligible applicants are TU members and employees working at organizations and enterprises in the city that paid TU dues before October 31, 2026. Applicants must strictly comply with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws and actively participate in TU activities. Priority will be given to those facing difficult circumstances or earning low incomes; those affected by occupational accidents, occupational diseases, or critical illnesses; those facing reduced working hours, job loss, or unpaid wages and bonuses; and employees who are relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution, belong to ethnic minorities, or have been affected by natural disasters.
The program also prioritizes TU members and employees with outstanding achievements in work, production, and TU activities, particularly those who were unable to return home for Tet in both 2025 and 2026. Those who received travel assistance from the DNLF for the 2026 Year of the Horse are ineligible for consideration.
In addition to providing transportation home, the DNLF will offer financial support to help union members and employees return to their workplaces after Tet. Specifically, employees returning to work before February 15, 2027, will receive an allowance equivalent to the prevailing bus fare at the time of travel. Reimbursements will be processed upon submission of valid bus tickets and supporting documentation certified by the enterprise and the grassroots TU.
Of the 3,000 subsidized tickets, 2,400 are allocated to union members and workers in industrial parks, while the remaining 600 are allocated to workers outside industrial parks. The program is funded from the DNLF’s budget.

Through the program, the city’s TU organization aims to ease travel expenses for migrant union members and workers, enabling them to reunite with their families for Tet while encouraging them to return to work with peace of mind and remain committed to their employers over the long term.
