350 outstanding poor students to receive scholarship entitled “Sharing the same wish”

(ĐN)- The editorial board of Tuoi Tre Newspaper in HCM city and Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand recently held a press conference to announce the launch of a scholarship program entitled “Chung mot uoc mo” (sharing the same wish).

(ĐN)- The editorial board of Tuoi Tre Newspaper in HCM city and Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand recently held a press conference to announce the launch of a scholarship program entitled “Chung mot uoc mo” (sharing the same wish). Accordingly, 350 scholarships worth VND2 million each will be awarded to secondary school students who live in HCM city and the provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan on August. The scholarship is a part of the programme “For the Development of Tomorrrow,” initiated by Tuoi Tre Newspaper. The scholarships are financed by SCG, one of Thailand’s leading industrial groups.

Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Matana Leongnarktongdee, Corporate Communications Director of the Siam Cement expressed the desire that the scholarship program will be organized annually in order to help disadvantaged and talented students to overcome difficulties and continue their studies. She added that the SCG would continue making contribuitons to community development activities and human resource training in the next time.
