In recent years, Dong Nai’s business community has worked to overcome challenges, adopt new technologies and improve competitiveness, making an important contribution to the city’s socio-economic development. Beyond their economic contributions, local entrepreneurs have also demonstrated a strong sense of social responsibility through welfare initiatives and cooperation with local authorities and communities.

Dong Nai’s transition to city status in 2026 has opened up new opportunities for the business community. On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Ut extended his best wishes to local businesses and entrepreneurs and recognised their contributions to the city’s development in recent years.

As Dong Nai enters a new phase of development, Politburo Resolution No. 16 on the city’s development through 2035, with a vision to 2065, sets out new strategic directions and opens up further opportunities. The Urban Development Law also provides a legal framework and mechanisms to support modern, integrated and efficient urban development while promoting the potential and strengths of individual localities. Over the next five years, the city plans to invest substantial resources in socio-economic infrastructure, making the participation and cooperation of the business community increasingly important.

Achieving the city’s development goals and aspirations requires unity and determination across the political system, along with proactive engagement, innovation and efforts to overcome challenges from the business community. The city has pledged to create favourable conditions for businesses and invest in infrastructure to support their growth. Businesses operating in Dong Nai, in turn, are expected to work together for the city’s development, contribute to the state budget and participate in local social welfare programmes.
