To meet its annual tourism growth target and contribute to the city’s overall economic growth, the tourism sector aims to attract approximately 1.5 million additional visitor arrivals and generate VND1.2 trillion in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2026. The DoCST will encourage accommodation providers, tourist sites and attractions, and travel companies to introduce discounts and jointly implement tourism stimulus programmes. It will also step up promotion on digital platforms and develop ecotourism, community-based tourism and experiential tourism products at Cat Tien National Park, Ta Lai community-based tourism village and the Bien Hoa pottery heritage site, among other destinations. The sector is also finalising plans to receive an international cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean Group at Phuoc An Port, with the vessel expected to dock in November 2026.
