To ease financial burdens and help disadvantaged trade union members and workers return home for family reunions during the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2027 – the Year of the Goat, the Dong Nai Labor Federation (DNLF) has launched the "Bus Tickets to Return Home for Tet 2027" program, providing outbound bus tickets and return travel allowances for eligible workers.

Eligible participants include trade union members and workers employed at agencies, organizations, and enterprises across the city that have paid their trade union contributions before October 31, 2026, and meet all prescribed requirements. Those who recorded outstanding achievements in labor, production, and trade union activities during the 2023–2025 period are also eligible.

Priority will be given to trade union members and workers facing financial difficulties or earning low incomes; those who have suffered work-related accidents, serious illnesses, or occupational diseases; and those affected by reduced working hours, job losses, or unpaid wages and bonuses. Other priority groups include relatives of people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution, ethnic minority workers, and workers living in areas affected by natural disasters. Trade union members and workers with outstanding achievements in production, business, or trade union activities, as well as those who have been unable to return home for Tet for at least two consecutive years, will also receive priority consideration.

Under the plan, the program will provide bus ticket assistance for workers traveling from Dong Nai to their hometowns on buses with cushioned seats, covering routes serving destinations from the former Binh Dinh Province northward, with Hanoi as the final stop. In addition to their own tickets, workers may register to purchase additional tickets for family members, including spouses, children and biological parents. For the return journey to Dong Nai to resume work after the Tet holiday, workers will receive financial assistance, allowing them to choose their preferred means of transportation.

According to the DNLF, trade union members and workers who received bus ticket assistance for Tet 2025 or Tet 2026 will not be eligible for the 2027 program. Applicants must have a genuine need to return home for Tet and commit to resuming work after the holiday. When registering, workers must specify their destinations using the former names of provinces and cities along the designated bus routes to facilitate data consolidation and transportation arrangements. Children under five who accompany adults will travel free of charge. Each adult may accompany one child under five, who must share a seat with their father or mother. A birth certificate for the accompanying child must be presented.

Bus ticket assistance will be arranged based on actual demand, with applications reviewed and approved by the DNLF in accordance with applicable regulations. Trade union members and workers wishing to participate in the program should contact trade union officials at their workplaces for guidance and to have their registrations included in the consolidated list.
