(ĐN)- Several major tourism projects in Dong Nai are gaining momentum after years of delay thanks to efforts to resolve issues related to land use and planning regulations. Ecotourism, leisure, and cultural projects at sites such as Chua Chan mountain, Tan Phu protective forest, and the Dong Nai Nature-Cultural Reserve are seeing renewed interest from investors.

In early 2025, local authorities outlined 18 key tasks to develop tourism, including launching the Chua Chan mountain ecotourism project for the 2021–2030 period and promoting private-sector initiatives in garden and lakeside tourism.

Dong Nai has identified tourism as one of its five economic pillars in the 2021–2030 provincial master plan. Efforts are underway to develop major attractions such as the Tan Trieu cultural tourism village and turn Tri An lake into a national tourism site. The province is also preparing for the 2025 Dong Nai Culture, Tourism, and Cuisine Week.

Authorities continue to address long-standing obstacles in tourism development, particularly those related to forest land and regulatory hurdles. Dong Nai is positioning itself as a regional tourism hub, leveraging Long Thanh international airport and Dong Nai River as key growth drivers toward its 2050 goal of becoming a centrally governed city and international trade and tourism center.
