As part of efforts to strengthen military-civilian solidarity, the Party Committee and command of the city’s Border Guard force have always paid special and close attention to the future generation in border areas, namely local students. Humanitarian programs such as “Supporting Children on Their Way to School – Border Guard Station Foster Children,” “Mid-Autumn Festival at the Border,” as well as activities supporting the start of the new school year and the Military Semester, have continued to make a strong impact.
“The bicycles presented today may not be of great material value, but they represent the affection and support of Border Guard officers and soldiers and benefactors for these children. They will help ease the difficulties on the children’s journey to education and provide additional motivation for them to move confidently toward a brighter future,” Colonel Dao Cong Ly emphasized.

The Deputy Political Commissar of the city’s Border Guard force expressed his hope that students at border-area schools would strive to study and improve themselves, enabling them not only to improve their own lives but also to contribute to building their hometowns and the country, particularly by joining local forces, especially the Border Guard, in firmly safeguarding national territorial sovereignty and border security.
On this occasion, 50 disadvantaged students from border areas participating in the “Supporting Children on Their Way to School – Border Guard Station Foster Children” program and the “Military Officers and Soldiers Supporting Children to Go to School” project, along with students from grades 4 to 9 in villages and hamlets across eight border communes, received bicycles. Each bicycle was valued at VND1.7–2 million.
