Together with national programmes on poverty reduction, the town prioritised investing in upgrading schools and rural roads in communes with a high poverty rate. It also conducted programmes to help poor people access loans to develop production, vocational training courses, and healthcare services.
The town is now home to around 220 poor households, accounting for 0.63 percent.
Long Khanh's annual average per capita income is VND38.6 million at present.
