(ĐN)- Over the past two years, Catholics in Dong Nai province donated more than VND124 billion for social and charitable activities. The money has been used to provide free surgeries to 584 kids with cleft lip and palate and children with eye diseases, perform free heart operation for three others, award scholarships to studious poor students.
Moreover, local Catholics contributed over VND12 billion to Funds for the Poor, Fund for Vietnam's sea and island, the Fund “Paying the Debt of Gratitude”, and played a significant role in the movements of traffic socialization, study promotion and social evils prevention.
