(ĐN)- The 9th festival to honor outstanding youths in Southeastern region was concluded in Con Dao island on April 9. This year’s festival saw the participation of 150 delegates who were young people from seven southeastern provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Lam Dong, HCM City and Dong Nai along with soldiers in Military Zone No. 7.
(ĐN)- The 9th festival to honor outstanding youths in Southeastern region was concluded in Con Dao island on April 9. This year’s festival saw the participation of 150 delegates who were young people from seven southeastern provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Lam Dong, HCM City and Dong Nai along with soldiers in Military Zone No. 7. The festival lasted five days from April 5 – 9.
The festival participants took part in activities including presenting notebooks, learning equipment, radios and medicines to 5 schools, 3 military units and 3 policy families as well as awarding scholarships to 20 outstanding poor students in Con Dao islands. Activities with which the festival participants took part were expected to link the relationship between young people in the mainland and people and soldiers in the island.
The next festival will take place in Tay Ninh province for its tenth year in 2011.
