As part of the 310th anniversary celebration of Bien Hoa – Dong Nai region, the study of Han (Chinese) script has been conducted since 1997 with follow-up until now and it was conducted by Professor Huynh Minh Duc from the Ho Chi Minh City Teachers’ University.
The scripts were collected from about 80 communal houses, temples and pagodas located in Bien Hoa city. The study expanded to survey in several religious worship places in the outskirts of the city, such as Long Thanh and Vinh Cuu districts. The researchers have transcribed and translated the collected scripts. The translation has been reviewed and accepted by Scholar Ly Viet Dung who studies in the Han-Nom scripts.

The Han script in Bien Hoa is among cultural heritage of the city. The collection and preservation of the Han script in communal houses, temples and pagodas play a significant role in protection and promotion of national cultural values.
The study is expanding to include survey in ancient houses and ancient tombs and other relics around the city. Hence, the study requires more time and the researchers have to increase their efforts for completing the project. This study will be published as soon as it is available.
