Land clearance paves the way for expressway

If so, the project can be started in the fourth quarter of this year, Tuoi Tre reported.

VEC General Director Tran Xuan Sanh affirmed that his company will be able to start the construction of the expressway on schedule if land clearance in HCM City is completed in the third quarter.

The HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway has a total length of 54.9 km, with eight lanes on the section from HCM City to Long Thanh, and six lanes on the section from Long Thanh to Dau Giay. In the first phase of the project, four lanes will be built on the whole route.

An international tender will be held for the expressway project which will need VND9.8 trillion (US$ 618 million) in the first phase, and VND18.8 trillion (US$1.2 billion) for completion.
