Cooperatives (co-ops) in Dong Nai City are stepping up the application of scientific and technological advances in production, helping save costs while improving productivity and product quality. In crop production, 44 co-ops have invested in water-saving irrigation technologies such as drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and subsurface irrigation, helping conserve water resources and reduce labor costs. In livestock farming, most co-ops have applied mechanization to animal feed processing, including grinding, mixing and chopping, as well as barn cleaning; the rate of application of livestock cooling systems has reached more than 50%.

The application of safe production standards and efforts to improve agricultural product quality have also received attention. Across the city, 54 out of 240 crop-production co-ops have obtained Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certificates. Notably, 5 co-ops have obtained organic production certificates, with a total area of 21ha out of 28.7ha of organically cultivated land across the city, accounting for 73.1% of the city's total organic farming area.
In addition, the city currently has 13 co-ops that have been granted growing-area codes for exports to the markets of China, the United States, Australia and New Zealand for key crops such as bananas, durians, rambutans and mangoes, with a total area of 694.36ha. This provides a foundation for co-ops to improve their ability to meet market requirements while promoting linkages between production and consumption, gradually increasing the value and competitiveness of agricultural products.
