In recent years, Dong Nai City's science and technology sector has intensified efforts to promote green transformation and sustainable production by leveraging science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation as key drivers of economic development.
According to Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, innovation and digital transformation are becoming increasingly widespread in daily life, production and business activities throughout Dong Nai. Policies and programs designed to promote the startup and innovation ecosystem have helped foster a culture of innovation within the local business community. In the period ahead, the science and technology sector will continue to improve relevant mechanisms, strengthen support for incubation and technology transfer, and facilitate investment connections. These efforts are intended to accelerate startup development and innovation, contributing to sustainable local economic growth.
In late June 2026, the Dong Nai City Department of Science and Technology issued Plan No. 36/KH-SKHCN on implementing the emulation movement titled "Innovation and Creativity, Development of Science and Technology, Digital Transformation, Green Transformation" at the department.
Accordingly, the campaign will focus on key groups of tasks, including: raising awareness and responsibility in implementing innovation, developing science and technology, and advancing digital and green transformation; and accelerating digital transformation within the management and administrative activities of the Department of Science and Technology. At the same time, it encourages improving the quality of services provided to organizations and individuals in the science and technology sector; ensuring information safety and cybersecurity; implementing green transformation to build a green, clean, and resource-efficient workplace; and developing human resources to meet the requirements of digital transformation and international integration.
