Dong Nai promotes AI adoption, innovation and digital transformation for sustainable development

On the afternoon of July 10, the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with relevant organizations, held a thematic seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications – Building an Innovation Ecosystem Integrated with Digital and Green Transformation to Promote Sustainable Business Development.”

The seminar focused on discussions concerning the current status and outcomes of digital transformation implementation, as well as mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing the digital economy across the city. Key topics included the application of AI as an innovative solution for operational management at SMEs; comprehensive digital transformation solutions for financial and accounting activities; the use of AI to automate invoicing and optimize human resources and business operations; and preferential credit programs and policies specifically designed for businesses undertaking innovative projects, adopting green technologies, or pursuing innovative startups.

In addition, experts, scientists, and representatives of institutes and universities presented papers on innovation and digital transformation policies aimed at developing the innovation system and innovative startup ecosystem in Dong Nai City. Other topics included policies to support innovative startups and science and technology enterprises; regulatory sandboxes, or controlled testing environments, drawing on effective models from other countries; and proposals for models suited to Dong Nai City.

Speaking at the seminar, Nguyen Minh Quang, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai City Department of Science and Technology, emphasized that the event's core objectives were to raise awareness, foster new ways of thinking, create a forum for direct dialogue to address obstacles, and provide businesses with highly practical, "combat-ready" technological solutions that are easy to adopt. The seminar's main orientations focused on several key areas: ensuring that AI applications are closely aligned with the actual capabilities of organizations and businesses; addressing the fundamental issue of financial resources; and developing specific, breakthrough mechanisms and policies to promote digital transformation and innovation at the local level.
