On July 7, Le Truong Son, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, chaired a meeting with relevant departments, agencies, and units to review the disbursement progress of public investment for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

According to the Department of Science and Technology, as of July 1, the city's total budget expenditure for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in 2026 reached VND234.2 billion, accounting for 14.1% of the assigned budget estimate and representing an increase of nearly 35.8% compared with June 1, 2026. Of the total, recurrent spending accounted for 6.5% of the assigned estimate, while the disbursement of public investment capital reached approximately 20% of the assigned capital plan.
During the meeting, representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and units reported on existing obstacles and proposed a number of plans and solutions to implement and accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Addressing the meeting, Le Truong Son, Member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, emphasized that relevant units should review and balance funding sources for projects in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to ensure compliance with prescribed regulations and schedules. He underscored the need to focus on implementing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation tasks through specific and effective solutions, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and agriculture.
The leader of the City People's Committee directed the Department of Science and Technology to strengthen measures to monitor and closely track the disbursement progress of public investment capital for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation across departments, agencies, units, and localities. The Department was also requested to assign its leadership to oversee and regularly update the disbursement progress in each specific field and area to promptly report to and advise the City People's Committee on resolving existing obstacles, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and regulations and meeting prescribed requirements and schedules.
