Xuan Loc district takes good care of revolutionary contributors

(ĐN)- Along with the districts socio-economic development, Xuan Loc district has also enhanced the living conditions for revolutionary contributors living in the locality. The district is now home to 2,884 families who had contributed to the national revolution; the monthly allowance level helps social policy beneficiaries to have an average living conditions. In addition, the district has ensured health care and treatment for them. Thousands of children of martyrs, war invalids and revolutionary contributors have enjoyed educational preferential policies.

From 2005 until now, Xuan Loc district’s party and people raised more than VND1 billion to the “paying debts of gratitude” fund, mobilized nearly VND2.8 billion to build 33 gratitude houses, repair 137 others, give 96 saving books to policy families.

The district also cooperated with socio-economic organizations, enterprises and state agencies to take care of 49 Vietnamese heroic mothers, offer nearly 5,000 health insurance cards to policy beneficiaries, provide vocational training courses and create jobs to hundreds of children of revolutionary contributors, give preferential loans to the families to develop household production.

The district will continue to co-ordinate with sectors and localities to give assistance to the poor policy families, especially with housing and loans for production.
