(ĐN)- In the first quarter of 2010, officials and soldiers from the provincial armed forces contributed 1,255 work days to upgrade 16.5 km of rural traffic roads, dredged 12 km of canals. In addition, soldiers from army units in the province were also sent to spray disinfectants in public places, schools and workplaces etc.
Apart from helping people in cleaning up the environment and building rural roads, the soldiers visited and presented 480 gifts worth VND100 million to policy beneficiaries and the poor as well as provided free medical check-ups and medicine worth a total of VND 11 million to 180 poor patients in the province.
