(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Preventive Medicine Centre announced that the province expects a further 5 per cent drop in malaria cases in 2010 and there will be no deaths caused by malaria. In 2009, a total of 464 malaria cases were reported in Dong Nai, equating to 0.19 per 1000 residents. The figure represented a 19 per cent year-on-year decline on the figure that was recorded in 2008. Four people, out of 464 reported malignant malaria cases, but no fatal case of this disease was recorded last year.
