At the working session with the provincial leaders, Deputy Minister Hua Duc Nhi said that many forests in the country are facing a serious threat of fire in the 2009-2010 dry season. Four forest fires covering over 21 hectares have occurred in the province since the beginning of the 2009-2010 dry season. However, the fires were discovered and extinguished fast by fighters thanks to good preparations for the prevention and fight against forest fires. Nhi also stressed that the need for the province to take measures to cope with fire forests in the locality.
