Meeting celebrates Youth Union’s 79th anniversary

(ĐN)- A meeting to mark the 79th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) was held at the province’s Sport-Culture Complex on March 25. Attending the meeting was Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, and Head of the Mass Mobilization Department Bui Ngoc Thanh.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Bui Xuan Thong delivered a speech to review glorious traditions of HCYU over the past 79 years and affirmed that the Dong Nai’s young people will do their utmost to serve the people and the community, contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.

Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong praised achievements made by the provincial youth union and its members over the past years. He urged youth unions at grassroots level to actively engage in emulation programmes to fulfill socio-economic targets, guarantee social security, improve people’s living standard.

Chairman Vo Van Mot awards certificates of merit to outstanding members of the union.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee presented campaign medals “For Young Generation” to 18 outstanding youth union leaders and honored 21 excellent members of the union.
