(ĐN)- The number of visitors to Dong Nai’s tourism areas increased slightly on the National Day holiday (September 2) due to rain. Particularly, Giang Dien Waterfall situated in Trang Bom district attracted the highest number of visitors, which totaled 17,000, an increase of 10 per cent over the same period last year. It was followed by Bo Cap Vang (Golden Scorpion) ecological tourist area with nearly 4,000 tourists, up 10 per cent over the same period last year and Buu Long tourist area of about 3,000 tourists, almost unchanged from the same period last year. Due to rainy conditions, there were very few visitors to the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Fair in Dong Nai on this holiday. Whereas, local retail outlets have seen a dramatic increase in the number of shoppers, some as high as 70 per cent in Big C supermarket and about 50 per cent in Coop Mart Bien Hoa. The supermarkets are launching a promotion program with many incentives for buyers of high-quality Vietnamese goods. Hundreds of items are sold at discount prices from 10% to 50%.
