Vietnam’s National Day marked in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- In the evening of September 1, the Dong Nai Party Committee, Peoples Council and Peoples Committee, the provinces Fatherland front Committee held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Vietnams National Day and the 40th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minhs testament at the province’s Sporting.

s National Day and the 40th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament at the province’s Sporting. Attending the ceremony were the provincial leaders, representatives of local relevant agencies, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Peoples armed forces and people from all walks of life.

The provincial leader presents certificates of merit to units and individuals for their achievements in the campaign “Studying and Following the late President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Examples.”

Addressing at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong said that September 2, 1945 marked the historical day for Vietnamese people as delivering the historic Declaration of Independence read by President Ho Chi Minh at the Ba Dinh square to establish the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Phuong also said that the Party committee of Dong Nai Province and its residents are very proud for the achievements getting the testament implemented. He asked the province to promote the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” and said it was necessary for the campaign to fuse the two themes so that they can be applicable to the current ideologies on building the nation, strengthening the Party and making strides in socio-economic developments. Phuong also said that the province will make efforts to reduce poverty while promoting economic development and improving living standards of local people.

The special performance

The ceremony also honored 28 units and 39 individuals for their achievements in the campaign “Studying and Following the late President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Examples.” A special performance was held at the same place to welcome the 64th celebration of the National Day.

Earlier, the delegates had visited the provincial martyr cemetery and burnt incense to commemorate the war martyrs.
