More than 200 former soldiers of politics offices of the Provincial Military Headquarters and the Military Zone 7 attended the 8th traditional meeting in Dong Nai on August 29. This meeting was a good chance for revolutionary veterans to review the Partys glorious history and tradition of revolutionary struggle and encourage each other to uphold the nature of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and traditions of the Vietnamese People’s Army.
Forwarding the celebration of the August Revolutionary and National Day, Infantry Officer’s College 2 has made practical efforts to help local people and policy families. The college spent VND 80 million to build a house for an employee who is lieutenant Dinh Thi Nhai, a martyr’s daughter. In addition, the college built 3 houses, each worth VND 50 million for three employees living in extremely difficult circumstances. The college is also planning to hand over 12 houses for poor people in provinces of Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Long An and Tay Ninh in early September. From the beginning of this year until now, the college spent over VND 800 million to build 16 houses for poor people.
On this occasion, the Womens Association of Long Khanh town in coordination with local authorities held a ceremony to hand over a “great unity” house to the family of Mr. Vo Thanh Dung with difficult circumstances, Chau Ro ethnic household in Bao Vinh commune. The house is built on an area of about 50 sq.m with a total cost of nearly VND20 million funded by the military soldiers and members of the town’s Womens Association.
In the evening of August 29, a singing competition was held at the province’s Sport-Culture Complex to welcome the 64th celebration of the August Revolutionary and National Day. The event was organized by the trade union of Dong Nai Telecommunications Company. The event attracted over 100 contestants from 7 units under Dong Nai Telecommunications Company. The contestants performed many songs and dances in praise of Uncle Ho, the Party and the country, and the post and telecommunication sector etc.
