(ĐN)- Vinh Cuu district’s AO/dioxin Victims Association has just held its first congress to map out its tasks for the first term of 2008-2013 and elect a new executive board. Accordingly, the Congress elected a new executive board with 11 members. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thuat, a retired official, was elected Chairman of the district’s AO/dioxin Victims Association.
According to statistics from the district’s Office of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Vinh Cuu now has nearly 400 AO/dioxin victims. At the congress, many enterprises and individuals contributed more than VND70 million to the association’s fund.
