Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut called on relevant units to closely follow the city’s master plan and this year’s growth scenario. He said the results achieved in the final months of 2026 should provide a foundation for developing a double-digit growth scenario for 2027 and subsequent years. He called for efforts to remove bottlenecks, boost domestic revenue collection, and accelerate work related to land management, land auctions and the fulfilment of financial obligations by investment projects. He also emphasised the need to speed up public investment disbursement, strengthen management and complete planning for industrial parks and clusters to attract more secondary investors.

The city’s leader also called for faster upgrades to existing databases and instructed departments and agencies to urgently integrate and connect their data with the city’s central data platform by the end of the year. They were also instructed to begin preparations for the 2027 Lunar New Year (Tet) well in advance, ensuring that residents’ welfare is taken care of and that no issues arise from a lack of preparation.
