Under the plan, the city will focus resources this year on organizing auctions for 35 land sites covering a total area of approximately 1,183 hectares. The city's Land Fund Development Center will take the lead and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and localities to complete the necessary procedures, ensuring that the land sites meet all conditions for auction according to the approved schedule.

The plan also assigns the city's Land Fund Development Center, its branches and commune-level People's Committees currently managing the land sites to urgently complete legal procedures for 44 land sites and plots in 2026 so that they can be auctioned in the first quarter of 2027. Sites that meet all requirements may be auctioned as early as 2026.

The plan also identifies three land sites covering a combined area of nearly 160 hectares for which procedures must be completed so they can be auctioned in 2026 and put into use to serve the operations of Long Thanh International Airport. Revenue from the auctions, after related costs are deducted, will be remitted to the Central budget.

In addition, 46 land sites and plots have been included in a list for concentrated compensation and site clearance, land fund development and completion of relevant procedures. If all necessary conditions are met in time, the city has instructed that the auctions be organized as soon as possible in 2026.

The city People's Committee has assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to standardize procedures and methods for determining land prices and shorten implementation times while ensuring objectivity and reflecting the actual conditions, location, potential and advantages of each land site. Auctions must be conducted publicly and transparently. Violations must be promptly detected and handled, while efforts must be made to prevent the misuse of auctions to disrupt the real estate market or seek illicit gains.

Organizing auctions for the land sites and plots aims to make effective use of the city's land resources, meet the needs of residents and businesses, and generate additional revenue for public investment and social welfare.
