An Phuoc Commune briefs residents on land acquisition plan for Amata Long Thanh City Project

The An Phuoc Commune People's Committee held a conference on September 26 to roll out and disseminate the land acquisition plan for the Amata Long Thanh City Project in the commune.

Covering more than 700 hectares, the Amata Long Thanh City Project is invested in by Long Thanh Riverside Urban Construction Investment Co., Ltd. According to information from An Phuoc Commune, the project involves more than 2,600 land plots belonging to over 1,000 organizations, households, and individuals. Given the large volume of site clearance work, local authorities have identified the public disclosure of information, dissemination of policies, and resolution of residents' concerns from the outset as vital requirements.

At the conference, many residents expressed support for the project's implementation, noting that it will create new momentum for the city's development. They also sought clarification on methods for determining land compensation prices, the inventory of houses and crops, and policies on support and resettlement when the State acquires land.

Nguyen Van Trai, a resident of An Phuoc Commune, said that while residents support projects aimed at the city's socio-economic development, they are also very concerned about compensation and resettlement policies during land acquisition.

According to the An Phuoc Commune People's Committee, following the dissemination of the plan, functional agencies will proceed with related procedures, including issuing land acquisition notices, conducting measurements and inventories, and verifying the records of each case. These procedures will serve as the basis for preparing compensation, support, and resettlement plans in accordance with regulations.

Chairman of the An Phuoc Commune People's Committee Doan Minh Tri said the local authority will assign staff to receive residents' feedback daily. For issues that cannot be adequately addressed, the leadership of the Commune People's Committee will hold public reception sessions every Wednesday morning to record and process them or report them to the competent authorities.

According to Huynh Tan Loc, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center, this is an important project that will contribute to the development of technical and social infrastructure and the expansion of the city's urban space. During the site clearance process, relevant agencies will continue to disclose information, address questions and concerns, and encourage residents to cooperate in land measurement, inventory work, and the preparation of compensation plans.

On September 14, 2026, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 2730/QD-UBND, authorizing the continued allocation and leasing of land for the project. The city also required that an inventory and verification of land origins be conducted in strict accordance with regulations to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of those whose land was acquired.

On September 16, 2026, the Dong Nai City People's Committee issued Plan No. 263/KH-UBND on the implementation of compensation and site clearance for the project. Under the plan, during September 2026, the Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center and the An Phuoc Commune People's Committee are to complete the preparation of the land acquisition plan, establish a council for compensation, support and resettlement, disseminate the land acquisition policy, receive feedback from residents, and issue land acquisition notices. From October to December 2026, the units will make compensation and support payments, arrange resettlement, issue land acquisition decisions, accept the handover of cleared sites, and carry out land acquisition in accordance with regulations in cases of non-compliance.
