The agreement is expected to create more opportunities for domestic and international businesses to connect, exchange information and share experience, while helping them explore new markets. It is also expected to help Vietnam’s cashew industry become more competitive, pursue sustainable development and strengthen its position in global markets.

At the panel, discussions covered the cashew value chain from farm to table and the industry's shift from manual processing to mechanized production. To increase value through deep processing for domestic and export markets, speakers highlighted the need to invest in modern processing technologies, human resources and production capacity. They also stressed the importance of understanding the specific requirements of individual export markets.

Food safety and competitive pricing remain essential for Vietnam’s cashew industry to compete effectively in global markets. The industry also needs to raise awareness of cashews’ nutritional value and health benefits, particularly among younger consumers.
