On the DT.769 Road upgrade and expansion project, contractors have opened six construction fronts to carry out site preparation, topsoil stripping, K95-grade embankment filling along a section of approximately one kilometer, K98-grade embankment construction and drainage system installation. Trial piling for a railway overpass is also underway along the section from Km0+600 to Km1+600.
Meanwhile, work is underway on 22 construction fronts along the DT.770B Road project, including 16 dedicated to road construction and six to bridge construction. The contractor consortium has mobilized hundreds of workers and substantial machinery to carry out the various construction activities.
To accelerate progress on both projects, the Dong Nai City Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board has urged local authorities and relevant agencies to expedite site handovers, particularly for land in rubber plantations and areas designated as construction priorities.
For the DT.769 Road upgrade and expansion project, the board has received nearly 82 hectares of land out of a total required area of more than 135 hectares, representing a site handover rate of 60%. However, along the section passing through Dau Giay Ward, rubber trees have yet to be cut down on approximately 3.6 hectares of plantation land. The board has therefore requested the prompt handover of this area. It has also called for faster site handovers at several priority locations in Dau Giay and Long Thanh wards and Binh An Commune to enable construction of the Cai Hao, An Vien and Quan Thu bridges.
For the DT.770B Road construction project, more than 217 hectares of land have been handed over, representing 81% of the total area required. However, only slightly more than 127 hectares, or 47%, are currently ready for construction. The remaining land consists largely of scattered, fragmented plots that are not contiguous and lack access roads, making it difficult to maintain continuous and coordinated construction operations.
According to the Dong Nai City Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, the DT.770B Road project has specific requirements involving the coordination and balancing of excavation and embankment fill. Therefore, contiguous stretches of land with adequate site access must be made available to allow for coordinated construction across multiple sections, ensure efficient allocation of excavated soil for use as fill material, and keep the project on schedule.
