Economic experts say Dong Nai City is emerging as one of Vietnam's most attractive destinations for domestic and foreign investors, supported by all five modes of transport, increasingly synchronized strategic infrastructure, well-planned industrial parks and favorable investment policies.

Alongside major infrastructure improvements, the city has also made a strong impression with the recent issuance of Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU by the municipal Party Committee’s Executive Board on launching a special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign under the theme “Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthroughs for a civilized and modern Dong Nai.” The campaign is set to continue through 2030. In addition, resolutions and decrees issued by the Politburo and the Government are expected to further improve the city's investment climate.
Investors look to Dong Nai for new opportunities
During the first six months of 2026, Dong Nai welcomed delegations from businesses, major corporations, and diplomatic missions, including ambassadors and consuls general representing countries such as Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore and China, all of whom visited the city to explore investment opportunities. At meetings with local authorities, representatives expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation and launching investment projects in the city.
Fleur Goote, Executive Director of the Dutch Business Association Vietnam, said regional connectivity and geographical advantages are among the most important considerations for investors. Dong Nai is a locality in which Dutch businesses see strong prospects for future development.

According to Goote, Dutch companies are particularly interested in sectors such as logistics, food security, food processing and energy. The association remains committed to supporting Dutch businesses in exploring opportunities and investing in Vietnam. With its considerable development potential, she said, Dong Nai is opening up new avenues for cooperation, and Dutch companies are ready to establish partnerships, invest and contribute to the city's future development.
Okabe Mitsutoshi, Vice Chairman of the Japanese Business Association and Chief Representative of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) office in Ho Chi Minh City, said JETRO would coordinate with the association to organize events introducing Dong Nai's investment potential and policy incentives to Japanese investors, encouraging them to explore opportunities in the city.
Dong Nai's leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to accompanying and supporting investors, with particular attention given to measures aimed at retaining the workforce. The city is accelerating the development of social housing, worker housing and rental housing in line with the Government's guidelines, while also planning additional residential areas near industrial parks to help workers settle, improve their quality of life and remain with their employers over the long term.
Attractive opportunities for investors
Dong Nai possesses many of the advantages most sought after by investors. Chief among these advantages is a rapidly expanding transport network, which is helping position Dong Nai as a major transport hub in the Southeast region. Key projects include Long Thanh International Airport, an expanding expressway network, transport corridors linking seaports and industrial parks, and a sustainably planned industrial park ecosystem.
Furthermore, Dong Nai is positioning itself as one of Vietnam's new growth poles, supported by a substantial land reserve for future development, competitive investment costs and an administration that continues to streamline administrative procedures. The city is also proactively attracting environmentally friendly, high-quality investment projects.
Speaking at receptions with foreign investors, Nguyen Kim Long, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City People's Committee, said the city is prioritizing investment in high-tech, semiconductor and environmentally friendly projects in its industrial parks. It is also encouraging investment in high-tech agriculture in industrial parks in the northern part of the city. In addition, areas surrounding Long Thanh International Airport have been designated for airport urban developments, creating opportunities for the development of services, logistics, restaurants and hotels.
Although Dong Nai continues to attract strong investor interest, the city remains selective in approving new projects. Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Kim Long said Dong Nai's investment policy, both now and in the future, prioritizes environmentally friendly projects that require fewer low-skilled workers. Preference will be given to projects that use land efficiently, involve substantial investment and generate higher added value while making reasonable use of land resources. Overall, investment projects in Dong Nai are expected to meet the city's standards for modern, clean and green technologies.
