Construction is currently underway on the project's two main construction packages. So far this year, completed work has reached VND248 billion, equivalent to nearly 31 percent of the total contract value. Of this amount, the expressway package is carrying out earthworks, underpass construction, drainage installation and the delivery of crushed stone for construction, with completed work valued at VND240 billion or nearly 31 percent of the contract value.
Meanwhile, the resettlement package is constructing roadbeds and drainage systems while preparing construction materials, with completed work in 2026 valued at VND8 billion.
The Ho Chi Minh City–Thu Dau Mot–Chon Thanh Expressway is approximately 52 kilometers long. The section passing through Dong Nai City extends about 6.6 kilometers and carries a total investment of more than VND1.4 trillion. Although the project was not allocated new funding in 2026, it has continued using VND1 trillion in capital carried forward from the 2025 investment plan. Total disbursement has now exceeded VND849 billion, equivalent to nearly 85 percent of the allocated capital.
The project requires the acquisition of more than 84 hectares of land, excluding a 2.1-kilometer section overlapping with D9 Road within the planning area of Becamex–Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, where investment is being carried out by Becamex Binh Phuoc Infrastructure Development JSC. To date, about 90 percent of the required land has been cleared and handed over for construction.
