According to a report by the Department of Construction, for the 2025–2030 period, the Government has tasked Dong Nai City with completing at least 65,000 social housing units; specifically, more than 8,000 units must be completed in 2026 alone. This is a task of paramount importance for ensuring social security and meeting the housing needs of workers, laborers, and low-income individuals across the city.

During the meeting, departments, sectors, localities, and developers reported on the implementation status of projects while outlining challenges related to land acquisition, site clearance, technical infrastructure, construction materials, and investment procedures. Concurrently, they proposed solutions to fast-track the progress of social housing projects in the coming period.

Delivering his concluding remarks at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that social housing development is a core political task for the city in the current phase. He demanded that departments, sectors, localities, and developers concentrate their maximum resources and maintain the determination to fulfill and strive to surpass the targets assigned by the Government.

For projects that have already commenced construction, the city leader requested developers to mobilize maximum financial, human, material, and equipment resources. They must accelerate construction progress, research the application of advanced technical solutions, and organize multi-shift operations to shorten construction timelines while ensuring projects are completed on or ahead of schedule.

For projects where developers have been designated but construction has not yet started, the city leader urged enterprises to quickly finalize all remaining procedures to deploy the projects as committed. They must map out detailed implementation plans and be directly accountable to the City People's Committee for execution results. In cases of delayed deployment, failure to meet commitments, or insufficient execution capacity, the City People's Committee will consider strict handling measures in accordance with regulations. The city will resolutely revoke investment policies and select alternative investors for projects facing prolonged delays that hinder the city's overall social housing development goals.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to lead and coordinate with the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and other relevant units to review and monitor the progress of each project continuously. They must proactively resolve hurdles concerning investment procedures, planning, and construction, while identifying suitable land funds to advise on adding new social housing projects in the near future. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is tasked with focusing on processing procedures related to land, environment, land allocation, the issuance of land use right certificates, and building material supplies to facilitate project deployment. The People's Committees of wards and communes hosting social housing projects must focus on accelerating site clearance, shortening administrative processing times, and coordinating to finalize the technical infrastructure serving project implementation.

At the meeting, all project developers expressed strong determination to implement social housing projects. They committed to mobilizing the maximum financial, human, equipment, and material resources, while proactively coordinating with relevant authorities to resolve issues and accelerate implementation. The enterprises affirmed that they would work alongside the city in carrying out the task of developing social housing, striving to complete the projects in line with their committed schedules, thereby helping to successfully fulfill the targets assigned by the Government and meet the growing housing needs of workers, laborers, and low-income earners in the area.

"With the city's high political determination, the synchronous involvement of departments, sectors, and localities, along with the strong partnership and commitment of the business community, Dong Nai strives to create distinct transformations in the last six months of 2026. We aim to surpass the social housing development targets set by the Government, turning into reality the goal that every citizen and worker has the opportunity to access suitable, stable, and sustainable housing," Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Kim Long affirmed.
