Dong Nai reviews progress in database integration and interconnection

On June 16, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Le Truong Son chaired a working session with departments, agencies, relevant units and telecommunications enterprises to review the implementation of database development, interconnection and data-sharing efforts across the city. The meeting also examined the progress of data integration into the city's Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) and shared data repository.

According to the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST), the city's data warehouse system was developed based on the former Binh Phuoc province data warehouse platform and meets regulatory requirements regarding functionality and technical specifications for data aggregation and analytics platforms. As of June 2026, the system had integrated 134 specialized databases from 12 departments, agencies and units. In addition, a total of 374 application programming interfaces (APIs) had been established, including 277 APIs currently providing data-sharing connections to the open data portal, the IOC system and other shared platforms.

Meanwhile, Dong Nai's IOC system is accessible via https://ioc.dongnai.gov.vn and mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. In recent years, departments, agencies and units have stepped up efforts to connect their sector-specific databases to the city's IOC system, helping strengthen digital governance and operational management.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Truong Son stressed that database development, interconnection and data sharing among agencies and units citywide must be accelerated to meet urgent requirements in the new development period.

He noted that database construction should be carried out in a systematic and rigorous manner, ...from assessing existing conditions and preparing information security level assessment dossiers to system integration, thereby ensuring information security and cybersecurity throughout the process.

Regarding data integration into the IOC system, the city leader requested relevant departments, agencies and units to continue maintaining and expanding successful integration efforts in areas such as healthcare, education and statistics, while supplementing key information to improve governance effectiveness. At the same time, units that have yet to complete data integration were instructed to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to identify obstacles and technical issues, receive technical support and standardize datasets before uploading them to the system, ensure compliance with integration regulations and maintain the required implementation schedule.
