(ĐN)- By the end of September this year, Dong Nai province licensed five golf course projects covering an estimated 705 hectares of land, according to the latest report from the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Of the total area, over 390 hectares have been set aside for golf courses, with the rest being reserved for resorts, hotels, villas, eco-tourism areas, parks and recreational areas serving the courses. Currently, there are two operational projects with a total area of 463 hectares, in which, the golf courses occupy as much as 254 hectares of land.
In the province’s 2010 plans were unveiled to develop two new golf courses and expand the one existing golf course with a total area of 1,643 hectares, in which, land for the actual golf courses accounts for 257 hectares.
