(ĐN)- Mandarin orange growers in Phu Loc commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province said that they will harvest later this month. The mandarin price presently stays between VND6,000 and VND8,000 a kilogram, up from VND 2,000 to VND4,000 compared to the same period of previous year, so farmers could get the profit of about VND150 million per hectare. Especially, with a yield of nearly 40 tonnes of mandarin, many farmers can earn a profit of more than VND200 million per hectare after the production cost is deducted. Phu Loc commune now has more than 300 hectares of mandarin orange under cultivation. Local farmers are already expected to harvest a bumper crop this season.
