(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s import-export turnover is expected to reach $3.7 billion in the second quarter of 2009, according to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade . Accordingly, the provinces total import-export turnover will reach about $5.9 billion in the first six months of this year, making up 32 percent of the year’s target. The province saw a total import-export turnover of $2.215 million in the first quarter of 2009, achieving 11.96 percent of the year’s plan, up 32 percent against the previous year. From the beginning of the year up to now, the foreign-invested enterprises hit over $1 billion in export turnover, the local ones achieved $60 million and the central enterprises of $24.64 million.
Footwear exports fetched $6.6 million, refined wooden products, $6.32 million, clothes, $8.94 million, and hand-made pottery products, $1.75 million. The province also exported 367 tonnes of coffee.
