(ĐN)- On March 25, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh had a working session with Thong Nhat district People’s Committee on the implementation of socio-economic tasks in the first quarter of 2009.
According to the report, Thong Nhat made many efforts to maintain a stable economic growth rate in the first quarter; accordingly, the district has striven to achieve and surpass the set targets.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman Ao Van Thinh stressed that the district should focus on strengthening the agricultural development, effectively combine agricultural production with the processing industry, develop key plants and concentrated breeding areas. He added that Thong Nhat should give priorities to developing the food processing industry, implement more preferential policies to boost investment, and focus on supporting small and medium sized businesses, cooperatives and local farmers.
