(ĐN)- On March 13, a delegation including Secretary of Dong Nai province’s Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and leaders of departments, agencies had a working session with Long Khanh town’s leaders on the implementation of the party’s resolution in the first quarter of 2009.

At the working session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh praised efforts of the local authorities and people in the implementation of socio-economic tasks in the first quarter of the year. Accordingly, the town has achieved an economic growth rate of nearly 10%, industrial up 7.5%, agriculture increased 3%, trade and services up 12%. Besides, Long Khanh has made efforts to well carry out administrative reform work, corruption and wastefulness prevention, and complaint settlement. Mr. Thanh also expressed his hope that the Long Khanh will continue to promote its strengths and advantages to fulfill its socio-economic targets for 2009, with a focus on supporting businesses to boost production.
* On March 20, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and Dinh Quoc Thai had a working session with Bien Hoa city People’s Committee on the implementation of socio-economic tasks in the past three months.
In the first quarter, the city continued to maintain a high economic growth rate, GDP increased 12%, industrial production up 7.52%, tourism-services up 19%.
Speaking at the session, Chairman Vo Van Mot stressed that Bien Hoa should speed up the implementation of solutions to actively prevent economic declination, create a favorable environment for investors, and ensure social security.
*Earlier, on March 19, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh worked with Vinh Cuu district’s leaders. Mr. Thinh spoke highly of the socio-economic achievements made by the district during the last three months and hoped that the district will continue to tap its strength and potential to fulfill its socio-economic targets for 2009.
* At the same day, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh had a working session with Long Thanh district’s leaders.
According to the report, in the first 3 months of this year, the district has strived to fulfill and surpass set targets; accordingly, industrial production increased more than 5% compared to the same period of previous year, trade up 12%.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh requested the related agencies in the district should make further efforts to carry out regulations on compensation, support and resettlement, develop infrastructure projects, and boost investment attraction.
