(ĐN)- Although facing difficulties in production, Southern Fertilizer Company (SFC), a member of Vietnam National Chemical Corporation (Vinachem), achieved a industrial production value of VND822 billion and a turnover of VND2,800 billion in 2008. The company was one of the Vinachem’s members who posted highest industrial production value and turnover last year.
In 2008, the company produced 175,000 tonnes of single super phosphate, 263 tonnes of NPK (complex fertilisers), and more than 70,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid.
This year, the company is aiming to raise its export turnover of single fertilizer to US$10 million from over US$3 million in 2008.
During the past three year, the SFC has invested in new production lines to raise its capacity and improve product quality, met increasing demands of the market at home and abroad.
