Denmark funds over US$475,000 for developing community-based tourism in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- A meeting has been recently held in Tan Phu district with representatives from the People’s Committees, the Farmers’ Associations, the Women Associations and the Youth Unions of 4 communes of Dac Lua, Nam Cat Tien, Ta Lai and Nui Tuong to discuss the implementation of a community-based tourism project in Cat Tien National Park.

(ĐN)- A meeting has been recently held in Tan Phu district with representatives from the  People’s Committees, the Farmers’ Associations, the Women Associations and the Youth Unions of 4 communes of Dac Lua, Nam Cat Tien, Ta Lai and Nui Tuong to discuss the implementation of a community-based tourism project in Cat Tien National Park.

The project is coordinated by Cat Tien National Park and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Vietnam. This project includes upgrading tourism infrastructure facilities and developing community-based tourism in combination with poverty reduction with a total investment of DKK2,855,736 (US$475,956). The project is fully funded by the Danish Government and will be implemented from 2009 to 2011.
