Vinh Cuu registered an industrial production value of VND2,713 billion in 2008, a year-on-year increase of 4.39 percent, according to the district’s leaders.Accordingly, the foreign-invested sector took the lead with a total industrial production value of VND1,235 billion, followed by state-owned sector (VND1,091 billion), and non-state sector (VND387 billion).
In 2008, Vinh Cuu attracted additional four new FDI projects, bring total foreign investment projects to 53. The district has draw up a plan to establish six industrial complexes with a total areas of approximately 470 hectares. They include industrial complexes of Thanh Phu-Thien Tan (49 ha), Thien Tan (116 ha), Tan An (156 ha), Vinh An (50 ha) and Vinh Tan (50 ha). The projects have been submitted to the provincial People’s Committee for approval.
