From 2000 to 2005, Dong Nai made all efforts to speed up administrative reform and create favourable investment environment for domestic enterprises and foreign partners. Accordingly, the province lured more than VND6,800 billion from domestic investment and over $4 billion from foreign investment. At this time, Dong Nai has 18 industrial parks.
In 2006, the province attracted more than VND15,000 billion from domestic and foreign investors, up over 15 percent compared to 2005. In 2008, Dong Nai is expected to mobilize about VND26,735 billion of social development investment capital, accounting for 49.6 percent of the province’s GDP
