Seven enterprises in Dong Nai Province have petitioned to be removed from the black list of most serious polluters, according to the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

These enterprises claim to have invested in better equipment, upgraded their waste water treatment systems, and set up solid waste dumping sites. The other four enterprises on the list have also pledged to treat their waste.
Those companies which do not improve their waste treatment would be forced to close by 2012, said the department.
