(ĐN)- Recently, a meeting to discuss state budget allocation plan of the province for the year 2009 has been held with the participation of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot. Accordingly, Dong Nai’s state budget expenditure next year is expected to increase to VND567.933 billion, compared to VND356.059 billion in 2008.
Chairman Vo Van Mot proposed that the provincial localities should increase investment in agricultural projects and rural development.
According to plan, state budget capital for development investment and construction in Dong Nai will be around VND880 billion in 2009. The localities are asked to scrutinise capital allotment for infrastructure projects and to prioritise capital for essential construction projects that could be operational by 2009 or early 2010.
At the meeting, local agencies and authorities were also ordered to seriously maintain thrift in spending and cut down on unnecessary costs. Besides, leaders of state organisations at all levels must be responsible for management and spending violations of the state budget.
