(ĐN)- A number of journalists and from media and press agencies in the Southern region gathered in Ho Chi Minh City to attend a meeting which was co-organised on July 21 by Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity Group and HCM City ’s Energy Saving Centre. The purpose of the meeting was to announce a program offering support for manufacturing and utilising solar hot water heaters. About 30,000 units of solar hot water heater products from 20 water heater manufactuters and suppliers thoughtout the country will be sold under the program as of August 1, 2008. Customers will receive a rebate of VND 1 million on the cost of a new solar hot water heater.
