(ĐN)- Cash Crops Development Project
for period 2008-2010 has been recently approved by Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and work is planned to start soon to develop production of major cash crops in Dong Nai’s 8 districts excluding Long Thanh district. Under the project, coffee, pepper, mango, durian and pomelo become major cash crops of these areas. Total investment for the project is around VND100 billion, of which, more than 60 per cent is from contributions made by local people and the remaining comes from the provincial budget. With the project’s support, farmers will be able to develop high-value and sustainable crops in order to enhance access to markets, helping raise income for farmers.Repored by H.G
