(ĐN)- On July 11, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong had a working session with Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts on continuing to renew, develop and improve the effective of the collective economy.

Long Thanh district now has 23 cooperatives and 42 high-productivity clubs; Nhon Trach district has 11 cooperatives and 29 cooperative groups. However, more than 50 percent of the total, most are the agricultural cooperatives, have operated ineffectively due to shortages of capital for production, outdated production technology and unsuitable production methods.
Speaking at the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong highly appreciated the efforts made by some cooperatives and unions of cooperatives to diversify their services, making in-depth investment in renewing technologies, provide high quality products and create stable jobs for their members and local laborers. He also stressed that it is essential to mobilize all resources to develop collective economy and focus on training skilled staff.
